Slimmer Sloppy Joes
Introduction
If ever there was a kid-friendly recipe, this is it! My three boys love these—and my husband
does, too. Instead of opening a can, you can create your own sloppy joe sauce in no time. Dinner
will be on the table in less than 20 minutes—and our version has a quarter of the fat and 100 fewer
calories than a standard loose-meat sandwich.
I like to use whole-wheat sandwich thins instead of buns, but you can also serve this over a baked
potato. We like to serve this with sweet potato fries, a serving of green beans, and a cup of milk.
