Hello!
I hope everyone is ready for a great October! As fall hits, this is a great time to look ahead to the last three months of the year.
As we all know, it can be challenging to stick with a healthy lifestyle during this time with so many challenges including:
Holiday foods from Halloween to Thanksgiving to Christmas/Hanukkah if you celebrate to New Year’s (no wonder it’s so hard to stay on track!)
The stress from everything connected to holidays and year-end goals
The time crunch that sometimes makes it harder to fit in physical activity
I’m going to give everyone a small challenge BEFORE all of this hits.
My life can get ridiculously busy between my family and being a leader of a fast-growing company like PeopleOne Health.
All of this means I can fall off of my goals sometimes too, which leads to frustration and additional stress.
I figured out a super-simple process that almost guarantees I stay on track:
I have a simple list titled “Daily Routine” that I copy to my daily To-do list each day. This list includes items like:
Eat healthy breakfast
Track fitness minutes
Make social posts
List priorities for the day
Take morning supplements
Do a morning hike
Get morning sunshine
Spin the SparkPoints login wheel (one of my favorite tasks!)
Following this daily routine list dramatically increases the odds I stay on track. The result is my current fitness minutes streak of tracking at least 10 minutes of fitness is 255 days in a row. This doesn’t really seem like a big deal to me because it’s just a normal part of my routine.
Do you think you can build a process like this into your day to help you stay on track prior to the holidays? You might end up modifying this process to something that works better for you.
Send me a message if you have any thoughts or questions about this. Here is my profile (you need to be logged in for this link to work).
Also, if you didn’t see my article last month, here is a link to this article that discusses how one of our features is building fun momentum and could help you reach one small goal at a time!
Have a great month!
