Introduction

Raisins add sweetness and you can top with nuts to add protein. My twin toddlers love it!

Ingredients

2 cups steel cut oats (DO NOT substitute old-fashioned or quick-cooking oats)
1 cup raisins
8 cups water
1 tsp salt
2 Tbsps unsalted butter
2 Tbsps flax seeds
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
Zest of 1 orange

Directions

Spray slow cooker with cooking spray. Add all ingredients and cook for 6-8 hours overnight. It may form a crust around the edges. Just scrape it down and stir before serving. Any leftovers will keep really well in the fridge.
Makes 8 1-cup servings.
