Introduction

This protein-packed dish is free of wheat and dairy, perfect for those with allergies. Nutritional yeast lends a cheesy flavor to the dish, while tahini adds richness.

Ingredients

1 cup quinoa
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons tahini (sesame paste)
1/4 cup nutritional yeast
1/2 teaspoon wheat-free tamari (soy sauce)

Directions

In a large saucepan, prepare quinoa according to package directions. Just before the quinoa has finished cooking, stir in the garlic, turmeric and pepper, and cover.
Remove from heat and immediately stir in the remaining ingredients, along with up to 1/2 cup warm water.
Serve immediately.
