Introduction

This four-ingredient date loaf has NO eggs, sugar, butter or cream. It's absolutely delicious!

Ingredients

375g (13.22 oz) dates, chopped
2 tsp. instant coffee
1 cup self rising flour
1⁄4 cup slivered almonds

Directions

Add coffee to 1 cup of boiling water and mix. Pour over dates and soak overnight. Stir in flour. Pour mixture into a paper lined loaf tin, sprinkle with slivered almonds and bake in a preheated 320°F oven for 45 minutes.

Optional: Serve warm with some low sodium, low fat butter.

Serving Size: 1/4 of the loaf cake.
