Introduction

Crispy fillo shells filled with creamy broccoli and cheese are elegant yet simple.

Ingredients

1/4 cup chopped cooked broccoli
1 large egg, beaten
1/4 cup shredded low-fat cheddar
1/4 t black pepper
1 package mini fillo shells (15 count)

Optional garnishes (calories not included):
crumbled bacon
chopped red pepper
chopped Roma tomato

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
In a medium bowl, combine the broccoli, egg, cheddar, and pepper.
Place the fillo shells on a baking sheet.
Using a teaspoon, fill each shell with the broccoli mixture. Top with a pinch of garnishes if desired.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Serving Size: Serves 5 (3 pieces per serving)
